There is not a week that goes by that I don't mention the benefits of bone broth. Common in many cultures, broths made from animal bones are used as a health tonic with benefits that range from general wellness and disease prevention to high-end athletic performance. Broth-drinking is trending into popularity. With that said, let's take a look, or better yet a sip at the guide below. You'll then have a better understanding of why you may want to add bone broth to your nutritional protocol.

What Is Bone Broth?

It's basically a soup, right? Bone broths are the result of simmering animal bones, vegetables, and spices in water. Many types of animals are used with chicken, beef, pork, and fish being the most common, Some include meat in addition to the bones for flavor.

What's good Sweat Nation! Everyone loves buffalo sauce-flavored anything, right? Or is that just me? I can still remember the very first time I had buffalo wings in high school. My life changed for the better after that day at the Denny's in Coral Gables, Florida. Wings is still one of my favorite things. I get excited anytime I make buffalo sauce anything. It really is a popular finger food. It's a staple at gatherings and sporting events, and because for those of us that love a spicy kick, it delivers. These meatballs, because give you the same delicious flavors as wings but it’s less messy and you don’t have to deal with the bones.

Here's What You Need...


  • 1.5 lb ground chicken

  • 3/4 cup almond meal


This instant pot AIP carnitas recipe makes a lot of meat. So plan to have leftovers, or use it for Taco Tuesday Through Saturday. Which if you're as busy as I can tend to get, having food batched and ready to go is the way to go. You could use a smaller pork shoulder, or freeze the leftover meat for the future.   • 1 tablespoon Ancho chili powder

A whole pastured chicken – simply prepared – is always clutch. It can be quite a process to infuse a chicken with flavor and get it fully cooked, while also keeping meat moist. I brined. I marinated. I “dry aged” in my fridge overnight. I’ve buttered the breasts and stuck garlic in all the nooks and crannies.

But inevitably, my chicken was rarely as moist or flavorful as what I’d enjoy in a high-end restaurant.
