Falling Off The Wagon = Motivation

May 10, 2010

Hope you're well. Last week I fell off the "wagon." It happens, sometimes life gangs up on you. Business, kids to parent, school to study for, getting sick, training. etc. The bottom line is sometimes life feels like it piles up on you. As much as you plan life as John Lennon said, "life is what happens while your busy making plans." I was disappointed in myself, but that just motivated me more to get back on track this week. The moral of the story is don't let a moment of things not working out tailspin into more than exactly that. A moment! Just get back on and keep on trucking.

I've been reading a lot of motivational stuff lately. A couple of years ago I would have never thought that I would take all this motivational self help stuff seriously. You never know how something works till you try it. Armed with this mindset I've come to notice that there is something to be said about feeling surrounded by "darkness" and not let the energy take you down.

People who think they can, have a leg up. Those who find excuses as to why they can't, can't. I didn't know it, I was never one of those people that was into the whole motivational stuff, but Finding Life In Personal Accountability, Activity & Accomplishments is a concept that although said in different ways has the same drive towards making things happen.

Disclaimer! This is not a "secret" angle. This is how you decide you want to use your mental energy.
