Chicken Shawarma AIP

This is really heavily seasoned chicken cooked until crispy and packing a bit of heat. You will looooove it any time you're craving Indian or Cajun food, and it’s fantastic over rice (cauliflower or otherwise) or alongside some steamed veggies!

 

Serves: 4

 

Here's What You Need...

 

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts, chopped

  • 1/4 cup avocado oil

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

  • 3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Combine all ingredients in a dish and marinate overnight in the fridge.

  • Preheat the oven to 400F. Place the chicken on an oiled baking sheet.

  • Roast about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through, turning once halfway through cooking.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add your choice of cooking fat. Cook the chicken until crispy on all sides.
