OMG, We have our recital this week. You ever get the feeling about a challenge that it just creeped up on you? Well it's coming, so we better get ready.
Let's start with how amazing it's been to go on this journey with Zoe, and what an inspiration she truly is. Last time we left off with the injuries Zoe suffered in the accident. For a refresher click here, here, and here.
I wish I could tell you guys that I brought her from learning to walk again to where she is today, but in truth it took a team. She had therapists, and another trainer named Jason. They all have done a great job with her. She came to me already walking with a limp and just wanting more training. We went straight to work. Through smart training focusing on building strengthShe got stronger and her walking got better. So much so that when I brought up the idea of doing tis 30 day challenge, she was all aboard from the first second.
Kendra and her team from Zouk Mia have been incredible. It's been a great joy to have them direct us with patience, care and of course it's been fun. We still have a few days to get it together for our recital. Recital takes place Saturday April 16th at VK Dance studio. We would love for you to come out and join us. I believe there will be food and drinks provided, and its only $30. All you can eat and drink for that price is a deal. Plus you get a whole evening of entertainment provided by the many dancers who are putting it on the line to get better to entertain you.
What can you challenge yourself to do? Will it be easy? No, probably not. Check it, I love to dance, but having to do it every day for 30 days when at times you know that you need to get other things done can quickly make you think "I'll do it later", but when you're accountable to your partner, and your partner is giving it all as well. The only awesome thing to do is to rise up to the challenge. Know what I mean? I invite you to challenge yourself. It's in the challenge that you will grow.
